Big Awards for Former YC Baseball & Softball Players

Some former Yavapai College ballplayers received major recognition for their performances this past season. Ryland Zaborowski, now playing for the University of Georgia baseball team, was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-American 1st Team, the All-Southeast Region Team, and the All-SEC 2nd Team. He hit .370 with 17 home runs and 61 RBIs.

Rocco Gump, who is playing for the Northwestern State baseball team, was selected to the All-Southland Conference 2nd Team, the All-Conference Defensive Team, and the All-Conference Academic Team. He batted .303 with eight home runs and 54 RBIs.

Yaya Kaaialii, now with Lubbock Christian softball, was named to the All-Lone Star Conference 3rd Team with a .371 average, two home runs, and 20 RBIs.
