A Prescott woman who stole more than $130,000 from a local business and a charity will spend the next five years in prison. On Thursday, 38-year-old Sheena Holmes was sentenced in Yavapai County Superior Court. Along with her five years behind bars, she will be on probation for seven years following her release.
From late 2021 until early 2022, Holmes worked as an accounting clerk for a local construction company and stole more than $30,000 from the business. She quit that job and took a similar position at a local charity that helps the homeless. She stole more than $111,000 from that organization.
