A small wildfire broke out in Walker last Thursday night. The Lynx Fire was reported down the road from the Highlands Center for Natural History on Walker Road. The Prescott Fire Department responded to the scene quickly and contained the fire to under an acre before crews from the Prescott National Forest took over.
The cause of the fire is not known.
As a reminder, the Tri-City area and the Prescott National Forest are under Stage One fire restrictions.
