A month from now, the Yavapai College soccer team will take to the pitch for the first time in 2025. It all starts with a scrimmage against Paradise Valley on August 6th at Prescott’s Ken Lindley Field. Four more scrimmages follow at Lindley: August 9th versus Phoenix, August 16th versus OJB FC, August 19th versus Embry-Riddle, and August 23rd versus Barca Residency Academy.
The season begins for real August 26th at home versus Scottsdale. Another home game follows August 30th versus Pima College. Yavapai’s first road game is September 9th at Arizona Western. Then it’s a three-game homestand: September 13th versus Southern Nevada, September 16th versus Mohave, and September 20th versus Community Christian.
The Roughriders’ final two games of the regular season take place at home October 14th versus Community Christian and October 21st versus Eastern Arizona. YC also has a new coach going into this season—former Monroe College bench boss Giorgi Manzula.
