More teachers in Yavapai County could benefit from Arizona Public Service’s Supply My Classroom program. Officials with the utility announced they are expanding the program to help more teachers cover classroom costs.
K–12 public and charter school teachers in APS service areas can apply for a chance to win a $500 gift card for supplies. The program aims to relieve teachers who often spend their own money on school materials.
To apply, go to aps.com/supplymyclass by August 11. Winners will be announced by October 4th.
A report by the National Education Association states 90 percent of teachers spend their own money on classroom supplies.
The program is funded by APS shareholders and does not impact customer rates.
