Wednesday could be the hottest day of the summer for Yavapai County.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for much of Yavapai County Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The advisory covers areas below 4,000 feet in elevation, including the Verde Valley, where temperatures will exceed 100 degrees. In places like Cottonwood, the expected high temperature is 109 degrees.
The Tri-City area won’t escape the heat as temperatures will hover near 100.
Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority spokeswoman Kathy Goodman tells The News:
If you do not have air conditioning in your home, go to your local library or the mall to cool off.
