One more accomplishment to an already tremendous season for this Embry-Riddle wrestler. Danill Gorshkov was named to the College Sports Communicators All-American Academic Second Team. A cyber security and intelligence studies major, he finished the 2024–2025 school year with a 4.0 GPA.
A native of Moscow who attended high school in California, Gorshkov’s sophomore season was highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the NAIA national tournament and winning the championship at 174 pounds at the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament. He was also named an NAIA All-American and an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, and ended up with an overall record on the mat of 27-8.
Gorshkov came to Embry-Riddle in 2022 as a redshirt freshman. While at Los Gatos High School, he won a state championship and had a perfect score on his AP exams.
