Crews are installing new water lines in the area of Douglas Avenue in Prescott. The installation of new utilities is also underway this week, resulting in the closure of the Douglas/Northside intersection.
This is for the Zone 41 Mingus Pump Station Project, which calls for the replacement of two existing 200,000-gallon water storage tanks with a single 750,000-gallon tank. Motorists traveling along this stretch of Douglas Avenue could encounter rough road conditions, reduced speeds, lane restrictions, and flaggers directing traffic.
Work hours are weekdays from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. The project should be completed early next year.
