Eleven players from last year’s roster graduated. Still, the Chino Valley boys soccer team has a few excellent returners for the 2025 season. Leading the way is last season’s conference offensive player of the year, Angel Sanchez. He registered 32 goals and 24 assists.
Also back is Trypp Challenger, who as a freshman last year posted 13 goals and ten assists and made the all-conference first team.
Also returning for the Cougars is Gio Millan. He recorded eight goals and seven assists and was named an all-north region honorable mention.
In 2024, Chino Valley went 17-0-1 and made it to the final four of the state tournament, where they lost to Snowflake in PKs.
The Cougars open the season August 26th with a home match versus Winslow.
