Just a week into the new school year and a Prescott soccer player has made her commitment to college. Mallory Walsh announced her intention to play for Grinnell College, an NCAA Division III school in Iowa. She was an All-Grand Canyon Region honorable mention last season.
We have more college soccer scrimmages in Prescott Saturday. At Ken Lindley Field, the Yavapai College women host Park University at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Yavapai men versus Phoenix at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, the Embry-Riddle men take on Mohave College at 7 p.m.
It’s one of the National League’s biggest rivalries. The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals go at it on the team 1450 AM KNOT. Saturday’s game is at 3:30 p.m., and Sunday’s game is at 3 p.m.
