The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office found a Texas woman who had been missing in Thumb Butte over the weekend safe and sound. The 39-year-old woman reportedly walked away from her family’s campsite Saturday, leaving behind all her personal possessions.
Forty search and rescue personnel were deployed to locate her. At one point, a DPS Ranger helicopter took part in the search. The woman was eventually located Sunday.
