The post office in Ash Fork could soon have a new name.
Prescott area Congressman Eli Crane introduced legislation to designate the post office as the “Fayrene Hume Post Office.”
Hume was a longtime public servant, the founder of the Ash Fork Historical Society and Museum, and a driving force behind economic and educational development in the town. Crane said Hume understood the importance of “pursuing mission over comfort” and worked tirelessly to support the community. He added the bill will serve as a lasting tribute to her selfless service and remarkable legacy.
