The Town of Chino Valley announced a proposed increase to its manufactured building transaction privilege tax. The Chino Valley Town Council will vote on the matter following a public hearing at its August 26th meeting.
Chino Valley Finance Director Katie Pehl says the tax “is a sales tax on sellers of manufactured buildings with physical sales offices within the town of Chino Valley limits.”
She adds, “The tax does not impact already installed manufactured buildings or contracts in place prior to November 1st, 2025.”
If approved, the tax will increase from 2 percent to 3 percent beginning November 1st. Pehl reports the money received from the increase will go into the general fund.
