Yavapai Regional Medical Center is assisting residents living near the massive Dragon Bravo Fire. Hospital officials say 9,600 N-95 masks were donated to the Navajo Nation to assist with smoke from the nearby wildfire. Residents have been subjected to significant smoke exposure since the fire exploded in size last month.
The Dragon Bravo Fire, which started July 4th, has charred more than 144,000 acres near the Grand Canyon’s North Rim. Units from the Mayer, Verde Valley, and Sedona Fire districts are assisting with firefighting efforts.
