ERAU Volleyball Goes 2-2 in Season Opening Tournament

A split to start the season. On Friday, the Embry-Riddle volleyball team kicked off its 2025 season in San Antonio, Texas at the Our Lady of the Lake Tournament. Their first contest Friday with Texas Wesleyan was a tight battle, with three of the four sets decided by two points. The Lady Eagles came away with the “W” 3-1. “The A-Bomb” Anela Chew tallied 14 kills, and Alice Tuci posted 31 assists.

Match number two of the day with the host school did not go Riddle’s way as they lost 3-0. Tuci recorded 29 assists and nine digs.

The Lady Eagles got off to a strong start Saturday with a 3-0 sweep over William Carey University. Chew garnered 12 kills and Alexis Creager made 15 digs and had four ace serves.

In their final match of the tournament, Riddle took the first two sets against Oklahoma City University, but dropped the next three sets in a 3-2 loss. Hannah Clear and Alexsandra Rodriguez both notched eleven kills.
