HWY 69 Improvement Project Entering Final Stage

Construction work is nearing the final stage on the Highway 69 improvement project in Prescott. The nearly ten million dollar project began last July and is expected to wrap up this fall.

Crews have already completed key upgrades, including a new travel lane in each direction between Prescott Lakes Parkway and Yavpe Connector, new curbs and gutters, drainage improvements, raised center medians, and a new traffic signal at Holiday Drive.

By the end of this month, crews expect to finish driveway reconstruction at businesses like Home Depot, as well as new asphalt paving.

Final tasks such as signage, shoulder work, striping, and landscaping are scheduled for completion by late October. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during the day, with overnight lane restrictions from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
