School has been back in session for a few weeks, and the Prescott Valley Police Department is reminding motorists to be aware of pedestrian safety . . . and not just in school zones. They are urging drivers to slow down when approaching a crosswalk and always yield to pedestrians.
Speaking of pedestrians, they are to use marked crosswalks when available, make eye contact with drivers, and wait for the signal before crossing. Police officials say safety is a shared responsibility between motorists and pedestrians.
