The Arizona Burn Foundation is asking for volunteers to participate in the Community Smoke Alarm Program. This program allows volunteers and firefighters to work together to install free smoke alarms in high-risk homes across Arizona.
Officials say volunteers are placed in groups and provided with the necessary tools, training, and materials to install the fire alarms and educate residents about fire safety.
The Prescott Valley event takes place on October 4. To register as a volunteer, visit the Arizona Burn Foundation website.
