National Awards for Cottonwood FD

The Cottonwood Fire Department is getting national recognition for its service and training.


The department received the Gold Award from the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS program. That honor recognizes fast, coordinated response to life-threatening emergencies—including heart attacks and strokes—starting from the moment 911 is called, all the way through hospital care.


In addition, the Cottonwood Fire Department earned the Silver Award from the Lexipol Connect program. That recognition highlights the team’s commitment to continuous training—ensuring their skills stay sharp.


City officials praised the fire department for its hard work and dedication to excellence.
