The Camp Verde Marshal’s Office and the Verde Valley Regional SWAT Team arrested two people who reportedly possessed a small arsenal at an RV park.
According to the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office, officers and federal agents descended upon the Distant Drums RV Resort in Camp Verde last Thursday morning. They executed a search warrant that led to the arrests of 44-year-old Kristin Moen of Alaska and 34-year-old Zachary Davis of California.
This was the culmination of an investigation that began on August 22nd after an improvised explosive device was discovered in a storage unit on Goswick Way. Authorities say the unit was rented by Moen and Davis.
The search of their residence uncovered multiple firearms, gun-building material, manuals for making explosives, and prohibited items such as suppressors and incendiary devices.
The pair face multiple weapons misconduct charges, along with possession of drug paraphernalia. The case remains under investigation by local, state, and federal authorities.
