After scoring only eight points the week before, the Bradshaw Mountain football team exploded in Friday’s game at Independence. The Bears mauled the Patriots 54-8. Kylin Jackson powered the Bradshaw offense with four rushing touchdowns, one of them for 65 yards. Jonte Jones had three rushing touchdowns, one of them for 60 yards. Michael Sanford hit Landon Taggart for a touchdown. Casey Baumann recovered a blocked punt for a score.
Chino Valley also went on a scoring frenzy Friday, drubbing Desert Star 60-14. Teagan Debono, Lyric Brooks, Levi Akans, and Isaiah Anderson all had touchdowns for the Cougars. After getting shut out in their first two games of the season,
Mayer pummeled Sedona Red Rock 58-22. Uriah Romero had three touchdowns for the Wildcats, including a pick six. Sean Santiago recovered two fumbles, one of them for a touchdown. Jonny Bryce had three touchdowns.
