The Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center is seeking volunteers to serve as visitor hosts and guides.
Located at Prescott’s Pineridge Marketplace, the center honors the 19 hotshots who died in the 2013 Yarnell Hill Fire. Since opening in 2018, the center has welcomed nearly 60,000 visitors.
Volunteers greet guests, share stories, and help with retail transactions. Shifts last three hours, and background checks and training are required.
The center is open Fridays from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays 1 to 4 p.m. To sign up, visit gmihc19.org.
