Revenge! PHS Flag Football Blanks St. Mary’s in Season Opener

The last time the Prescott and St. Mary’s flag football teams met, they played for the state championship, with the Lady Knights winning it all 10-7. On Monday, the two sides faced off again to open the 2025 season. This time, however, the result was much different. The Lady Badger defense clamped down on St. Mary’s offense, keeping them out of the end zone the entire night. Prescott crossed the goal line three times and got their revenge with a 20-0 victory.

Rianna Aguilar had two rushing touchdowns. Aubrey Kitahata caught a hook-and-ladder touchdown pass from Maggie Maneely. The Lady Badgers also picked off St. Mary’s three times, with interceptions by Lucy Zembik, Brinkley Larson, and Maggie Maneely, who did it on a leaping, one-handed grab.

Prescott has its home opener tomorrow versus Tempe.
