Prescott Valley town officials are alerting customers using Gmail or Yahoo email accounts that some email providers are incorrectly summarizing billing information. In several cases, accounts showing a credit may be wrongly displayed as past due, while customers with a balance may see a summary of zero dollars.
Town officials stress this is an email provider issue — not an error with the billing system itself. Customers are urged to open and review the full, detailed invoice to see their correct balance. You may also want to check with your email provider about turning off automated email summaries.
