Sports Extra September 22nd, 2025; Weekend Scoreboard, Alumni Update

Local scoreboard from the weekend, in soccer, for the guys, Yavapai College slammed Community Christian 10-0. Iker Villalba had a hat trick. Embry-Riddle blanked Arizona Christian 1-nil. Alex Bissett made eight saves. Chino Valley got edged out by Grand Canyon 4-3. Logan Quinn scored all of the Cougars’ goals. Ladies, Embry-Riddle vanquished Arizona Christian 10-0. The Jamies – Brandon and Black – both had hat tricks. Chino Valley went 2-2 at the Chino Cup.

Volleyball, Yavapai College swept Southern Nevada 3-0. McKenzie Wright posted 26 assists. At the Epic Tourneys Invitational, Bradshaw Mountain went 3-2 and Chino Valley went 1-4.

Cross country, at the Mustang Invitational, the Embry-Riddle men finished 2nd and the women were fourth. Dillon Eisner was third for the men and Sophia Noriega was seventh for the women. At the Ray Wherley Invitational, the Prescott boys finished third, with Will Townsend came in sixth for the boys and Audrey Delaney was sixth for the girls. At the Four Corners Invitational, the Chino Valley girls finished fourth and the boys were eighth. Eliana Metz came in third for the girls and Enzo Wiley was 16th on the boys side.

The Prescott badminton team won the Birdie Blitz Invitational.

Alumni update time. Former Prescott volleyballer Lexi Wasil posted 14 kills for Barton College in its 3-0 loss to North Greenville this past Friday. For the season, Wasil has 107 kills and 74 digs.
