Prescott Residents Can Get a Piece of Old City Hall

Prescott residents can take home a piece of history before the demolition of Old City Hall.

On Friday from 8 to 10 a.m., community members are invited to 201 South Cortez Street to collect a brick—either a plain one or a personalized one from the previous sponsorship project surrounding the front statue.

City Council members and city staff will be on site to assist, and bricks will be available while supplies last. Unclaimed personalized bricks may be held for future pickup, but availability is not guaranteed.

Old City Hall served Prescott since the 1960s until city operations moved to the new city hall on Montezuma Street in 2021. The site will soon be redeveloped into “The Assembly at Old City Hall,” a four-story complex with retail outlets, restaurants, and hotel space.
