The city of Prescott is seeking volunteers to serve on two city committees. City officials say serving on these committees allows citizens to participate actively in local government. There are three upcoming vacancies for the Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Traffic Advisory Committee, and one upcoming vacancy for the Airport Advisory Committee.
While residency is required for the Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Traffic Advisory Committee, it is not required for the Airport Advisory Committee. The term for the Traffic Advisory Committee runs from 2025 to 2028, and the Airport Advisory Committee seat runs from 2025 to 2027.
Members will be appointed by the city council once the Subcommittee on Appointments reviews applications and makes its recommendations. Applications are due to the city by 5 p.m. on October 24.
