The city of Prescott has once again been recognized for outstanding financial stewardship. For the 24th straight year, Prescott has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association.
The award honors governments that excel in crafting budgets that serve as policy documents, financial plans, operational guides, and communication tools. Prescott’s fiscal year 2026 budget met all 14 required criteria and was rated “proficient” in every category.
This year also marks the first time the city’s budget is available on the Open-Gov platform, making it more accessible and engaging for residents.
