Yavapai County rendered assistance to Gila County in the wake of the recent severe flooding there. Yavapai’s emergency management coordinator, emergency management specialist, and emergency manager were all deployed to Gila County under the Arizona Mutual Aid Compact.
Flood waters damaged dozens of homes and businesses around the Globe-Miami area, and resulted in three deaths. Several cars were also washed away, along with at least one thousand propane tanks. Roads and bridges were also blocked by debris.
