Prescott city officials announced a leak was detected in the effluent water line along State Route 89. The leak was detected last Saturday within the Willow Lake roundabout. Work to repair the leak is scheduled to begin on Wednesday. Officials say State Route 89 will be closed to northbound traffic at the Willow Lake roundabout, but southbound traffic and the Watson Lake Recreation Area will remain unaffected. Access for local businesses will also be maintained.
City officials ask motorists to follow signage and posted speed limits. They should also expect delays, remain alert for construction personnel, and use an alternate route if possible.
All work is expected to be completed by next Wednesday.
