Yavapai County Transitions to New Alert System

There’s a major update to how Yavapai County residents will receive emergency alerts. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with Yavapai County Emergency Management, has officially transitioned to a new emergency notification system called Smart911, or Rave Alert.

The switch moves the county away from the previous Everbridge platform. It is intended to deliver faster, more customizable alerts. The system will notify residents of critical situations like wildfire evacuations, severe weather, missing persons, road closures, and other public safety concerns.

Users can create a safety profile with their home, work, and family information. The system also provides the option to share critical data with first responders, improving emergency response.

YCSO officials say those previously signed up for alerts through Everbridge should have their information transfer automatically. However, officials recommend verifying your information.
