Prescott City Council Approves New Fire Stations, Fire Training Tower

The Prescott Fire Department is on the path to getting two new fire stations at opposite ends of Highway 89. The City Council Tuesday approved the purchase of land and an architectural contract for the new stations.

The City Council approved it 6-1, with Councilman Eric Moore casting the lone dissenting vote. The City Council also approved a nearly three million dollar contract with Danson Construction for the construction of a new fire training tower. The vote was 5-2, with Council members Moore and Lois Fruhwirth voting no.
