The Cottonwood Police Department reported an unusual call after a strange suspect caused a commotion in town. After receiving several 911 calls on Tuesday, animal control was dispatched to catch a runaway emu. Police officials say the speedy bird was sprinting through the streets and into traffic.
Officers and animal control worked together to safely capture the emu and return it home.
