Personnel from the Mayer Fire District responded to a fatal accident on Highway 69 Saturday afternoon. One of the vehicles involved caught fire and was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
One fatality was reported on scene. The drivers of both vehicles were transported by ambulance to a trauma center. The cause of the accident is not known.
