Prescott area State Representative Quang Nguyen has a proposal to make lead-footed drivers slow down. His idea would allow drivers who have their licenses suspended for speeding to agree to a device that prevents them from going over the speed limit.
Nguyen says suspended drivers would still be allowed a certain amount of freedom:
Nguyen says a driver could accept the speed suppression device on their car. If not, they would not be allowed to drive during their suspension.
A similar idea did not go over well with Nguyen’s fellow house Republicans, so he is developing a new bill.
