Parts of Douglas Ave Project in Prescott Completed

Crews have finished constructing new concrete curbs and gutters along Douglas Avenue in Prescott. In addition, the new water lines will be connected to the existing system. This will require the intersection at Northside Drive and Douglas Avenue to be closed for four weeks. The new pump station is being constructed.

This is for the Zone 41 Mingus Pump Station Project, which calls for the replacement of two existing 200,000-gallon water storage tanks with a single 750,000-gallon tank. Motorists traveling along this stretch of Douglas Avenue could encounter rough road conditions, reduced speeds, lane restrictions, and flaggers directing traffic.

Work hours are weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The project should be completed early next year.
