Quite a few local swimmers came away from Saturday’s state meet in Mesa with top 20 finishes. For Prescott, the girls relay teams were among their most successful performers, with the 400 free relay placing seventh and the 200 free relay coming in eighth. Individually, Nora Gunderson had two top ten finishes, coming in eighth in the 100 free and ninth in the 100 back. Danica Aldag finished 13th in the 200 IM and Megan Lipp was 16th in the 200 free. As a team, the Prescott girls placed 16th out of 45 teams.
On the boys side for Prescott, Eli Buettner came in ninth in 100 back and the 400 free relay had a 15th place finish. The boys team ended up 19th out of 45 teams.
For Bradshaw Mountain, their most successful swimmer was Brielle Bennion, who came in tenth in the girls 100 free and eleventh in the 200 free.
