Yavapai Regional Medical Center opened a new simulation lab at its West Campus in Prescott. Hospital officials say the lab is designed to provide both education and annual competency training to medical students, graduate nurses, and current staff. They add the lab offers scenario-based training to educate healthcare professionals on how to respond to various conditions and complications.
The lab includes camera equipment, allowing instructors and students to review the footage to determine where improvements can be made. YRMC President and CEO Anthony Torres reports the lab allows participants to learn in a stress-free environment, helping training become second nature for when they encounter similar situations in real clinical settings.
