The City of Prescott announced the winners for the annual Veterans Day Parade that took place last Tuesday.
Awards were given across seven categories, with Student Veterans of Yavapai College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University taking first for non-profit organization; the winner for fraternal/military organization was the Copper State Detachment Marine Corps League and Copper State Young Marines; first place for motorized group went to Bro’s Car Club; the best marching unit was Prescott High School Air Force JROTC; the winner for music group was the Pride of Prescott Marching Band; first place for hospital entries by veterans went to Northern Arizona VA Health Care System; the winner for commercial/business entry was APS; finally, the overall winner was the Eagle Club from Embry-Riddle’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 028.
This year’s parade featured 85 entries.
