Work on the newly installed water infrastructure at the intersection of Northside Drive and Douglas Avenue in Prescott should be completed by Wednesday. In addition, asphalt paving operations are taking place in the area. Once they are finished, the intersection will be open to traffic. The new pump station is also being constructed. This is for the Zone 41 Mingus Pump Station Project, which calls for the replacement of two existing 200,000-gallon water storage tanks with a single 750,000-gallon tank.
Motorists traveling along this stretch of Douglas Avenue could encounter rough road conditions, reduced speeds, lane restrictions, and flaggers directing traffic. Work hours are weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. No work will take place over the Thanksgiving holiday. The entire project should be completed early next year.
