Prescott’s quirky local figure, 71-year-old John Fibich — better known as “Flat Earth Dave” — passed away at his home late last month. The Prescott Police Department confirmed the news.
Fibich was a familiar sight cruising the streets in his truck, boldly painted with “NASA is a hoax” and his signature moniker “flat-earth-dave.com” — a rolling reminder of his passionate, if unconventional, views on the world.
He had a distinctive public presence: reclusive yet unforgettable, often seen walking slowly with a walker, his loyal dog by his side, waving to neighbors while sharing his strong opinions on what he saw as hidden truths.
