CVHS Basketball Falls to Parker, Mayer Knocks off Seligman

After notching a last second win over Camp Verde Monday, the Chino Valley girls basketball team hoped to carry over that success in their game at Parker last night. While they stayed close to the Lady Broncs throughout, the Lady Cougars came up short 42-33.

Annabelle Mazzella posted ten points for Chino. Lexi Polachek garnered nine points, and Macy Stebbins chipped in five points.

The Chino Valley boys had a rougher time on the hardwood last night, falling to Parker 64-32. Sophomore Alex Gomez was the Cougars’ leading scorer with ten points. Chino is now 0-4 on the season. They don’t play again until the end of the month when they take part in the Yvonne Johnson Memorial Shootout at Camp Verde.

The Chino girls are 3-4. They are off until next Tuesday, when they head down to ALA West Foothills.

Also on the hardwood last night, the Mayer boys walloped Seligman 47-15. The Mayer girls derailed Seligman 47-11. Teresa Londrie garnered 15 points.
