Real ID Fee Coming in February

Beginning February 1st, TSA will charge a $45 fee for passengers without REAL ID, or another acceptable form of identification.

Officials with the Prescott Regional Airport say TSA will begin using the Confirm ID system for identity verification in domestic flights. They add the $45 fee covers one 10-day travel period, after which it must be paid again. The fee is intended to avoid delays and help cover the cost of identity checks for those without REAL ID, or an appropriate alternative. REAL ID can be obtained through the local DMV.
