The holiday season can be a stressful time, but officials with the Prescott Police Department say there is no excuse for reckless driving. They say a vehicle on State Route 89 was observed tailgating and making dangerous lane changes while driving 76 miles per hour in a 50 mile per hour zone. The car was impounded, and the driver was cited for reckless driving.
Police officials say residents should slow down, obey speed limits, leave plenty of space between vehicles, make safe lane changes, and stay in the right lane if traveling below the speed limit. They urge residents to make smart decisions while driving to keep themselves and others safe.
