Yavapai County got quite a bit of rain over Christmas week.
According to the County Flood Control District, Big Bug Mesa received 0.87 inches of rain. Prescott Heights got 0.83 inches. Prescott Valley had 0.79 inches. Goldwater Lake received three-quarters of an inch of rain. Thumb Butte got 0.71 inches. Lynx Lake, Williamson Valley, and Mingus Mountain all received 0.67 inches. Seligman got 0.59 inches. Mayer and Sedona both had 0.39 inches. Chino Valley, Willow Lake, and Prescott Country Club all received 0.35 inches. Fain Lake got 0.31 inches. Watson Lake and Cordes Junction both had 0.28 inches, and Camp Verde and Cottonwood both received 0.20 inches of rain.
More rain is expected in the Tri-City area on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
