They kept pouring the ball into the basket all night long. That resulted in the Embry-Riddle men’s basketball team giving La Sierra an 88-45 shellacking last night. Five Eagles scored in double figures. Peter Dress recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds. Lex Clontz put up 17 points. “The Mack Attack” Ethan Macken notched 11 points. Noah Giftt came through with 10 points and nine rebounds, and Matur Dahl registered 10 points.
The women’s game proved a much closer affair. Riddle led by as many as 13 in the early going, but La Sierra fought back the rest of the night. In the end, the Lady Eagles held on for the 65-64 triumph. Kate McBride posted 15 points and 11 rebounds. Makenzie Alapai tallied 14 points. “The Wheel in the Sky” Angelina Whelan amassed 10 points.
The Riddle men are now 10-8 on the season, and the women are 6-10.
