New Air Travel ID Fees Go into Effect Feb. 1st

In December, officials with the Prescott Regional Airport announced the TSA will begin enforcing a 45-dollar fee for passengers without a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification. This new fee goes into effect on Sunday.

Passengers without a REAL ID or the appropriate alternative will be required to use the new TSA system for identity verification to fly domestically. The new fee covers a 10-day travel period, after which flyers will need to pay again.

To avoid the fee, visit the local DMV to get a REAL ID or use accepted alternatives.
