In the fall of 2025, Prescott High School established a new annual award, the Distinguished Alumni Award. It aims to recognize past graduates who have contributed to their profession, community, or society. Nominations will be reviewed by a committee that consists of eight members including district, county, and school officials. The selection committee can choose up to five recipients on the basis of professional accomplishments and a reputation for positive influence.
Additional consideration will be given to those whose accomplishments are in the Prescott community or are advocates of public education. The award is open to all former Prescott Unified School District students; however, preference is given to graduates of Prescott High School.
Nominations for the 2026 award are open through April 30th. They must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation. Selected nominees will be notified June 30th and will be presented their award during homecoming week. The nomination form is available on the Prescott High School website.
