It’s the final full week of the regular season for the high school winter sports season, so let’s see where our local teams are in the state power point rankings. For girls basketball, in the 4A conference, Prescott is number two and Bradshaw Mountain is number 16. The Lady Badgers are also number 12 in the Open Division. In the 3A conference, Chino Valley is number 36.
For the boys, in the 4A conference, Prescott is number 25 and Bradshaw Mountain is number 38. Chino Valley is number 41 in the 3A conference.
In soccer, for the boys in the 4A conference, Prescott is number 14 and Bradshaw Mountain is number 16. For the girls, Prescott is number 14 and Bradshaw Mountain is number 30. The top 24 teams qualify for the postseason.
Speaking of the postseason, the Mayer boys and girls basketball teams take part in the 1A Central Region Tournament this week.
