Some major events in Prescott could receive more money from the City of Prescott, depending on their economic impact on the community.
During Tuesday’s City Council study session, Deputy City Manager Mike Morris explained:
The proposal would have major events receive city funding equivalent to 50 percent of taxes generated, with a cap of $80,000. The city could also provide in-kind services up to $40,000. It would also require a five-year agreement approved by the City Council. Since this was a study session, no vote was taken on the matter.
